Amuse-Bouche

In some ways writing this goes against my grain.  So when I (Alexis) first thought, “hmmm, I think I will write a blog” it was meant as a self-deprecating, post-modern satirical reaction to society.  Of course under those terms it is cliché and bordering on passé- and who wants that?  So instead, welcome to Alexis’ post postmodern neo-sincere blog.  😉

Okay, whom am I kidding?  There is no great philosophical goal behind this blog.  I’d like to say that I am sharing the chic, the fulfilling and the tenacious.  Who knows, maybe we will get lucky and I can learn something or share something worth learning.  It can only go up from here!

All right, so a bit about myself:  I am a happily married 27-year-old living in Los Angeles. Yes, I recognize that much of that sentence seems to be strictly paradoxical- but hang in there with me!  As for details, well I think it might be more fun if they reveal themselves as we take this little journey.

So what am I writing about?  THAT is the question!  I am writing about my likes, my dislikes, what I find relevant and how this fits into the world around me.  Perhaps I will share a few tricks and/or projects along the way.  OH and I have amazing friends and family, so I am looking to them to do spectacular things in order to keep this little experiment interesting.  I believe that the people who name these sorts of things would call it a “lifestyle blog.”

With that, I am going to wrap things up.  I just want this first entry to be a little amuse-bouche.  That’s a “mouth amuser” for those of you who don’t speak French (or know how to google)- a palate teaser if you will!

P.S.  There is a lot of work being done to the site right now, so please bear with me as there will be some changes!

  6. What a great way to get insight into your unique perspective on things. In New Orleans they call an amuse bouch a Lagniappe…a little extra something. You must update daily!
