Can you believe this is already the 6th Wine of the Week?! If you haven’t been following along, start here with an introduction from our resident sommelier, David Foss. From there you can work your way through the previous weeks’ wines. I promise, these are great wine options sure to please even the most persnickety wine lover.
As for this week’s wine, we are looking at the 2009 Ignaz Niedrist Sudtirol Terlaner Weissburgunder, Pinot Bianco, Trentino-Alto Adige, Italy. Now don’t let this one fool you. The name may look German, but the wine is actually from northern Italy. This wine is newer to the market and while it retails for around $30, it is well worth it. David says, “The name may be crazy, but this wine is crazy good.” So give it a try!
