Shed Some Light

As we enter into this New Year I’m feeling anxious to make some moves in my life.  Or at least in our home.  Unfortunately, I can’t make sweeping structural or even cosmetic changes (the woes of being a renter), but I can go out and purchase a new accessory.  After all, it is the details that give homes personality.  Whether it is something small like a candy dish or a large piece of artwork, accessories have the power to individualize an otherwise generic space.

I love looking for the perfect accessories.  I am constantly on the lookout for pieces that really speak to me.  However, that isn’t to say Lukus’ and my home is complete. In fact, we are still in need of items to warm up our place.  One area where we could definitely use some help is in the lighting.  So,  I am considering starting off the New Year transformation with a floor lamp.  Right now I am purely in my research phase.  And luckily for you North On Harper readers, I am happy to share my findings thus far.   Here are some great floor lamps on the market- for any décor style.  Best part about them?  All 5 are available for ordering online (this way no lugging home a giant lamp from the store!).

"Swaying Stalks Lamp" $498, Anthropologie.

"Big Dipper Arc Lamp" $199, CB2.

"Hudson Floor Lamp" $499, Z Gallerie.

"Branches Floor Lamp" $349, West Elm.

"Pimlico Tripod Floor Lamp" $550, Williams Sonoma Home.
