Spring Fashion Trends (Part 2)

It is day 2 of our spring fashion forecast with celebrity stylist Jessica Wenger and if you loved yesterday’s looks, well you are in for a treat today!  Unfortunately we are suffering from some nasty weather here in Los Angeles.  But I am still embracing the new season wholeheartedly and these looks are helping to do so- despite the weather!

Trend 4: 70’s Chic

What we’re specifically talking about is disco meets bohemian.  Muted metallics, nude animal prints, wide leg pants and printed headscarves.  This trend can be worn as easily in the office as it can on a lazy Saturday afternoon.

Shop These Looks:

  • Kenny “Romper with Tie Waist” ($198), Shopbop.com
  • Robert Rodriguez “Twill Wide-Leg Pants” ($275), Cusp
  • Eugenia Kim “Gigi Headscarf” ($143), Shopbop.com

Trend 5: Cross-Body Handbags

There is something super hip and easy about the cross-body bag, so it is no wonder that they are a spring trend.  Plus they are super convenient for keeping your hands free.  What more can you ask for from your bag?

Trend 6: Bold Color Combinations

Not for the faint of heart, this trend of bold color pairings leave the grey of winter a distant memory.  The key here is to pair solid classic pieces.  Don’t be scared to venture around the color wheel- use complimentary, analogous and every color combination in between!

  • Blue/ Turquoise look styled by Shopbop.com: Rachel Roy Layered Blouse ($275) and Rachel Roy Swing Skirt ($425)

  3. I have to say that according to all of those examples, I am going to LOVE this spring. I was able to find something that I want in each of the groupings. I never realized how many of the styles from the 70’s are things that I like. the headscarves can finish off a chic look. The bold colors are fun. And, I have my eye on the Kate Spade cross-body bag.
