NoH Does: Cocktail Couture

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!!!  I am back with another installment of NoH Does.  Quick reminder:  This is where I take a topic/style/trend discussed during the week and ask the wonderful fashion blogger community to submit photos of themselves wearing the trend.  Kind of like a real life “how to.”  This week’s topic is based on my post Cocktail Couture and takes a look at how to dress to wear a cocktail party look.

I am featuring two bloggers this week.  I picked their looks because, while their dresses are vastly different, they are both completely appropriate for a swanky soiree.  Enjoy!

Jessica from "This Girls Vintage"

This is Jessica from This Girls Vintage.  And if you haven’t already put two and two together, this dress is vintage.  It is from the 1950s but it translates just as well today as it did then.  Honestly, Jessica is lucky that I don’t steal it from her!  Plus I think Jessica hit it out of the park with the red lips, up-do and metallic clutch.

Shasie from "Live Life In Style"

Here is Shasie from Live Life In Style.  Like Jessica’s look, this is a dress I would absolutely wear.  I love the proportion play of the billowy sleeves and short skirt.  Plus the necklace and metallic shoes give it that extra oomph.  OH!  And if you love her floral hairpiece, head over to her blog where she is giving one away- but hurry!  Shasie’s giveaway ends today!!

If you are interested in being featured on a future NoH Does, follow us on Facebook!!  We announce our topic every Wednesday there.  Then just email me your name, url and photos!

    Party to go to:)

  4. Both dresses are lovely… However, I would have to wear something underneath the second one – like a pair of satin shorts or something because I think I am passed ‘the age’ of wearing short mini’s ;)0(x
