OdlR Takes Us To Spain

You didn’t think I was only going to share Chanel 2012 Resort Collection, did you?!  Of course not!!!! Not when there is a collection like Oscar de la Renta 2012 Resort Collection to share with you!  Unlike Chanel, this collection doesn’t belong on the French Riviera—but in the streets of Barcelona.  The collection has a distinctly urban feel with a spicy edge.  OdlR pulls from his Spanish heritage- with references to Picasso’s Cubist movement and the matadors’ costumes.  The collection is both powerful and feminine a line that Mr. de la Renta has learned to walk seamlessly throughout the years.

Here are some of my favorite looks from the collection:

  1. I love the first look so much!!! I little bit of edge and sexiness in all the pieces you picked. So great! Thank you for sharing.

  2. That polka dot dress is freaking awesome!

  3. Loving that long pink gown. So pretty yet relaxed! Perfect for summer occasions!

  4. Great pics! Though I cannot get over the legs on the first model. Is she like 10 feet tall!!??

  5. Oh wow, thanks for sharing… first I’ve actually seen of this! Beautiful, Oscar De La Renta never gets enough love… the designs are always chic but known for the expert tailoring and attention to detail. Funny, I was just talking about this… everyone loves a Vera Wang wedding gown, but I always thought I’d rather have a OdlR wedding gown!

PS I will totally enter the next NoH Does, but I’m kinda swamped this week and I have a guest staying with me, so I probably won’t do any outfits that I don’t already have saved on my computer 😉

  6. I’m heading off to the fabric store tomorrow to buy fabric for a dress that looks a lot like that polka dot one! I was going to make it in lightweight denim but now I’m thinking POLKA DOTS. Thanks for the inspiration!
