Wine Of The Week (31)

It is a sad time in the world of NoH’s Wine Of The Week. David  (our sommelier- who makes all the great suggestions) up and moved to New York.  Okay, so it is temporary and he still intends to share wine on a weekly basis, but still!  Lukus and I miss our friend.

Enough of that emotionalism!  Let’s get to the wine!  This week’s suggestion is La Chablisienne Petit Chablis Burgundy France 2009.  It is a great wine to introduce drinkers to the Chablis Region of Burgendy.  It is made of the chardonnay grape and is a very straightforward wine.  David jokingly described it as a being like “a nude beach- it puts everything out there for you to see!”  And I will leave it at that!

  1. love it! I’ll have to get a bottle sometime :)

  2. I’ll have to start getting better with commenting on blogs from the Catacombs society if they involve the Wine of the Week. Always nice to see new wines. Hey, what is the price range for this bottle? For us broke folks knowing the price range really helps considering we tend to buy 3 Buck Chuck quite often these days.

  3. Aww, I am sorry your friend is moving….it’s always bittersweet.

I never came across this wine, but I think I will put it on my list for our upcoming dinner.

  4. Don’t you hate it when people MOVE! I guess that’s how all my clients felt when I hit the road for CA 😉
