NoH Does: Old Hats

When I wrote the corresponding post to today’s NoH Does I didn’t foresee all the conversation it would generate.  Even the comments were full of stories.  I guess it’s safe to say that a hat can do more than keep your head warm.

I love the variety of stories.  From old hats to new hats to baby hats…  Hopefully you enjoy them as much as I have!

I am sure you remember Shasie from Live Life In Style.  She picked up this hat when on a trip home.  Like my hats, this was a memento from her grandmother who passed away in January.  Shasie explains, “I love this black hat so much!”  And who can blame her– it is quite the statement piece.

Of course you know Stephanie of The Loudmouth!  Her hat is new, but it has sentimental value nonetheless having being worn on many special occasions.  In fact I think it is safe to say that it is on track to becoming a major fixture in her summer wardrobe!  Stephanie loves it so much that she is inspired to make additions to her hat collection ASAP.

This is the first appearance of Alexandria of Before The Baby Wakes here on North On Harper– but hopefully not the last.  This collection of hats hold special meaning to her, because they are the baby hats of her son.  Even now that he has grown out of them, Alexandria hangs onto the hats because of the memories each one holds.

Like I said—hats are so much more than a utilitarian accessory.  If you are interested in partaking in future NoH Does posts “like” us on Facebook to get a sneak peek at each week’s topic.
