After a brief detour last weekend, I’m back (joined by my trusty sommelier, David) with a brand new Wine Of The Week. And according to David, this one has more dimension than you might think. (Side note: David just recently moved to New York and needs friends… so let me know if your posse is in the market for a witty wine guy.)
As for the wine, we are talking about the Lini 910 “Labrusca” Lambrusco Rosso NV, Emilia Romagna, Italy. David describes it as a “light bubbly red that still has some body.” A red with bubbles and body? Practically an oxymoron. Pair it with foods from the same region (think lasagna!) and you will have yourself a lovely meal. Bottles go for about $16.

Me likes the bubbly. And well, mi favorito es el rojo.
Gracias.
Your bilingual friend, Niquita.
So, I was gonna ask the same thing: A red with bubbles and body? Really? That’s really sounds like an outstanding wine! I love red wine but I’m also a big fan of bubbles!!!
how interesting, its not often you come across and red that bubbly, number one, and two thats also full bodied? Sounds worth trying! I really love the label too and for me thats a huge indicator of whether or not I’ll buy the item. Is that bad?
Bubbly red with body. Hmmm. Yea, that is an oxy-moron but one definitely worth looking into. Thanks for sharing this! Now, hmm. There’s a Malbec sitting in the wine rack begging to be opened.
Okay, so I’m not really a wine drinker, but I guess this sounds good? I do love lasagna, so… LOL, anyway at least the bottle has an interesting label!
sounds amazing!! i love me some bubbles.
Sounds interesting (described as bubbly) … I’ll have to add it to my list. Thanks.-xo
Definitely sounds like an interesting red!
