A Nod To Navajo

While I live in Los Angeles, I don’t usually tend towards Southwestern prints.  But lately anything Navajo (or Navajo inspired) seems to be drawing my eyes.  There is something earthy, yet beautiful about these prints making them perfect for these waning summer months.

Anyways, I thought I would share some of those evocative Navajo-inspired images:

What do you think of Navajo prints?  What are you loving this late summer?

So for this week’s NoH Does I want to see your Navajo prints— and they don’t have to be on clothing!  Take a photo of a pillow, a blanket, whatever!  Send it over with a small description to alexis@northonharper.com then come back on Saturday to see some of the shared photos.  If you have questions about what I am looking for drop me an email and I will do my best to clarify.  All photos are due by Friday!

  7. I picked up a Sir Alistair Rai Navajo print scarf and I’m in love with it!

  8. I love all the southwest inspired things I’ve been seeing lately. Being from the area originally (Arizona & California), they remind me of home :)

  9. I love the last photograph, it’s such a clean design but has plenty of color and personality. I’ve been loving everything south west inspired this summer and I’m looking forward to working it into my wardrobe this fall.

  10. I do like Navajo prints, but with certain limitations. Some pieces are just too busy for me and other ones are just gorgeous.

  11. I love love love ALL of it!!! Oh yes…

  12. I’m totally digging the earthy look, too. These pics are fab.

  14. I didn’t know this was called navajo bt I like it! I think it will be great in september/october in red/yellow/orange shades…

  15. Happy Aunt says:

Not normally a fan of these type of prints….but I would look great in those boots!

  16. I have never been really “into” Navaho prints, though I do love Southwest Indian jewelry. Honestly, I don’t have anything Navaho at all. I guess I’ll wait for the next NoHo does!

  17. I too love Navajo prints! So pretty!

  18. I agree with you!! Until I started seeing these type of prints showing up in blogposts, I probably would never have thought to wear them too. But they are really cool, and the way people are styling them is awesome. Can’t wait to see what submissions you get.
