Feeling Blue

So, as much as the thermostat says differently (we’ll be in the 80s- that is 26+ for those who prefer Celsius), fall is just around the corner.  And even if the temperature doesn’t agree, it is still time to start thinking about summer to fall transitional style.  Initially this got me feeling blue.  And then I was like “AHA!  Blue!!”  Okay, so this is a complete and utter fabrication.  But I thought it sounded good—but looking back I realize it may have been a slight miscalculation….

All that to say, the saturated blue you have been wearing all summer?  The one you have been using to color block?  Well, it also happens to be a major fall color trend.

And while these looks are much too winter for my head (and I am guessing yours as well!), they are great examples of the trends we’ll be seeing when temps do dip.

In the meantime, if you haven’t purchased any of the palate yet, go ahead and make a few purchases.  All of the below examples can take you from summer to winter, just by making some minor styling adjustments!

Here are some pieces that can make the transition with you:

Where To Shop:

  • Zara “Blouse with Turned Up Sleeves” ($49.90), zara.com
  • Single “Elle Ruffle Dress” ($190), cusp.com
  • BCBGeneration “Helara Platforms” ($98), lordandtaylor.com
  • ASOS “Shift Dress with Pleated Neck” ($60.34), asos.com
  • Moyna “Beaded Flap-Top Clutch” ($105), cusp.com
