So it has been a pretty tough 2 weeks with computer issues. From server issues to strange wi-fi outages to the case of the disappearing emails, my nerves are slightly frayed. As in, I need to see an orthodontist because of all the teeth grinding I’ve been doing. Now this hasn’t just been a source of stress because of North On Harper duties. My day job also requires me to be on the computer. (Clearly God is testing my resolve, or He gets a kick out of watching me yell at inanimate objects… either way…)
With all the stress of this past week I just want to completely let go, laugh my head off and have fun. And this photo sums it up for me. I had it hanging in poster form on my wall throughout college (it’s at my parents’ home these days…) and it has always been one of my favorites photos.
The photographer is Kurt Hutton (1893-1960). He is considered one of the forerunners of photojournalism.
How would you describe a moment of pure joy and abandon?
