Wine Of The Week (42)

As I mentioned yesterday, I have had a really frustrating few days with my blog.  I am talking serious server issues that had me in minor panic mode.  But today— today everything seems right with the world!  The timing is perfect Wine Of The Week, so I can finally kick back, relax and enjoy a glass.  But this isn’t about me.

This is about Les Faverelles, Vezelay White- Organic 2009– our sommelier, David’s latest suggestion.  First off it is organic and who doesn’t love that?  Made from Chardonnay grapes, this wine is actually a little different. First it is grown on the same latitude as a Chablis, which means it has a somewhat cleaner flavor and is a little less round.  David explains, “It is all about the acid with this wine.”  As for the price- you are looking at about $23 a bottle.
