Jen Kao’s Unexpected Accessories

Jen Kao’s S/S 2012 Collection had an ethereal other-worldly feel to it.  From the clothing to the music to the lighting and of course there were the paper cut-outs (but we’ll get to that in a moment!),  the show almost felt mystical.

Better said,  if Jill Stuart took me to Palm Springs,  Jen Kao flew me to Fiji:

Now back to those paper cut-outs I mentioned.

Working with the team behind Paper-Cut-Project,  Jen Kao designed intricate paper accessories as compliments to her collection.  I found these utterly fascinating,  and while not functional (the name “Paper Cut” says it all!),  absolutely beautiful.

Let me know what you think of these unusual accessories:

(PS— for the most part I am very happy with my photos,  but I didn’t have time to edit  ,  so please forgive me!)

  1. I would wear anything strange in my hair! (on my head) I like being different!

  2. Absolutely stunning! As a graphic designer, I probably already have a larger-than -life appreciation for paper and the creative ways it can be used. The craftsmanship alone is worthy of admiration, not to mention the creativity and the final result.
