Remember way back in August when I shared Karl Lagerfeld for Macy’s capsule collection? Well, Macy’s has enlisted another designer to share some of the runway magic at a much more accessible price.
And I bet you want to know who it is.
The answer? Giambattista Valli (Reading the title of the post you may have guessed it and to you I say “Well Done!”)
What I like about the Giambattista Valli for Macy’s Collection is that it feels true to the brand. The pieces are well designed, smart, and fashion forward. The collection is full of cocktail dresses characterized by vibrant colors and patterns. And with the collection hitting stores on October 26th, it is just in time for all the seasonal parties. Plus, in true Macy’s fashion, all the pieces are priced between $50 and $150.
I know. You have your doubts. You can’t help but think, “Can these looks really standup next to the runway looks?”
Well, why don’t you judge for yourself?
Check out the looks below: the Giambattista Valli for Macy’s on the left, Giambattista Valli Fall 2011 Ready-To-Wear Collection on the right.
There are other more flirty dresses, but these are my three favorite looks. They feel chic and not overly commercial. You can check out the rest of the looks here.
What do you think of the collection?
