Have you enjoyed the posts on Honduras? I hope so. It really was a phenomenal trip. So indulge while I share one more post on the experience…
Friday I shared photos from the after school programs’ end of the year party. Specifically, I shared photos from the cotton candy that was consumed at the end of the celebration.
Well, today I thought I would share another element of the event: the shows. As I mentioned in an earlier post, the show consisted of dances and skits. And here is where I am going to give some tough love: the dances were kind of awful. That being said, they were also kind of great. Not because of the skill/style, but because of how much they entertained kids who rarely had the opportunity to sit back and watch a show.
I took the opportunity to turn the camera on the audience and thought I would share their reactions:
And now, for your viewing pleasure, a peek at the dances (and a little bit of celebrating as well!):
P.S. Did you know that there’s a NorthOnHarper YouTube channel? Well, There is!

these pictures are amazing – it looks like you had a GREAT time! So happy for you <3
So glad you had a great time Alexis! Love these pics of the kids, especially the little boy who’s giving that knowing smile, like “yeah, I know they’re really bad, but oh well.”

such beautiful pictures! the children are beautiful!
Fantastic pictures…. every one tells a tale.
in your last picture of that little girl, do you know what’s in the plastic bag? i remember it’s a treat i used to have a kid and that it was good, but i can’t for the life of me remember what it actually was!
and in the video, there’s that part of the girls in the white dresses – and i used to have some when i was growing up! i could probably still fit in the last one we bought – i haven’t grown much if any since middle school. i don’t know where the dress is or i would totally try it on to see if it still fits!
Amazing.
