There is a lot of excitement going around about the film, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo that hits theatres this week. Typically I abhor American remakes. Death At A Funeral, anyone? And don’t get me started on the rumored remake of Das Leben der Anderen (The Lives of Others), which is seriously one of the best movies ever (Lukus agrees—and he doesn’t speak German and had to rely completely on subtitles to watch it)…but I digress…
Where was I?
Ahh, yes, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, staring Rooney Mara as the title character…
So you ask, why am I writing about a film? That isn’t typical NoH content!
Well, because Rooney Mara is a great example of how we as people are really canvases. That our appearance has very little to do with our genetics and much more to do with the choices we make. How we wear our hair, makeup, what clothing we choose, do we tan, work out—there are a multitude of factors that go into our appearance.
The best part? It can easily be changed. Hair dye, a dramatic lip color, a new dress— all of these have the power to alter our appearance and what image we project.
Don’t believe me? Well, take the fact that every image in this post is Rooney Mara.
Yes. Every photo.
Have you ever made a complete physical transformation?
