Here we are, day 3 of the NoH Series: The LBD. Hopefully you’ve enjoyed the styling thus far!
I wanted to do something slightly different with today’s LBD look.
Today’s look was inspired by one of my previous posts, Clothing Ingenuity. Go ahead, look it up. I’ll wait.
Now that we are caught up, let’s discuss.
If yesterday’s look was super casual this is a step up. This is what I wear when I am not just bumming around town, but I actually have plans to meet and interact with people (say, a work lunch). For me, this qualifies as work wear.
Clearly the spin on the LBD here is that I am not wearing it as a LBD. Instead, I am treating it as a fitted shirt (like a body suit without the bathroom challenges…). I like the idea of pairing it with a fuller mini skirt. It is day appropriate because it is paired with flat shoes and opaque tights.
I like that the visual interest here is in the skirt. I added a statement necklace (I am all about a long pendant and am really enjoying the sort of tribal-style influence) and an interesting bag act as my supporting accessories.
