Wine Of The Week (65)

I am a beach girl.  Some people like to vacation in the mountains, and that is nice.  But I want to listen to the waves crash.  I want to look out onto the watery expanse…

That’s why today’s wine pick is perfect for me.  Sommelier David has selected the Nuraghe Crabioni Vermentino di Sardegna 2010.  The grapes are grown 600 feet from the sea, flavoring the wine with a bit of salt and a lot of minerality.  As David describes it is a “light and pretty wine.”  It runs about $16 a bottle.
