Runway To Room: Raf Simons for Jil Sander

I tried desperately to avoid writing about Raf Simons final collection for Jil Sander.   Truly I did.  I mean, it has been written about everywhere.  And why not?  It is practically flawless.

Finally I couldn’t take it any more.  I decided that I would have to feature a Jil Sander F/W 2012 look.  But, I knew I had to do something different.  And I decided- what better than a Runway To Room?

I picked this fabulous pink coat look.  Who knew simplicity could be so visually stimulating?  The look is both classic and fresh.  I find it completely unexpected for fall!  It is pink!  What more can you say?!

So it is onto the décor translations:

Tell me- would you have a pink place?  What do you think of Runway To Room: Raf Simons for Jil Sander?

  1. Hi my dear,
I found your blog by chance, while peeking others and I decided to check it out! I’m glad I did it, because I am really delighted with yours. It’s beautiful, well structured, interesting, sweet amazing… If you love mine too,I’d like to invite you to follow mine . I’d be very pleased.,,,Then I’ll follow you back!!!

  2. Every house I’ve owned has had a pink wall – usually hot pink. I’ve yet to paint my pink wall here at Witt’s End – but it’s on my list :-)

  3. You’re right – that coat is utterly perfect, loving that touch of warm pink on the second bed!

  4. I would have a pink place but I don’t think my fiancé would agree…

  5. I love the idea of a subtly pink room.

  6. In a past place, I used accented pink pillows in the living room, and I loved it!!! And the room is completely elegant and gave me an instant soothing feeling!

Beautiful. So I guess I would as long as the guy was okay with it 😉

  7. Love it. I wouldn’t have a pink place for my master bedroom, but I do have a pink room in my house. My 11 year old daughters room. soft pink. its lovely.

  8. I’m a sucker for pink. I love it anywhere & on anything. The coat is beautiful! Also I think you may have struck gold with runway to room…may consider for a future series???

  9. I would never have a pink place. The rooms are great, but I’d have different colors. :)

  10. That coat is amazing! Not sure I’d do pink in a living space though. Feels a bit dated to me. I like my interior design timeless!

  11. As the only female surrounded by lots of testosterone (even the dog is male) I dream of my little pink corner. So far I get my pink on only with clothes and shoes and purses.

  12. Lol I wouldn’t choose a pink room in a million years. But I like what you did with this post, taking a different angle on the subject. The picture you posted of Raf Simmon’s last collection is awesome, perfectly clean and simple, reminds me of Phoebe Philo for Celine from a few years back.

  13. Don’t think I would ever purposely go pink but if someone gifted me that first bedroom I so wouldn’t complain!

I do have a cherry red laundry room though. I needed to go a little wild after painting the rest of the house in neutrals.

  14. I like pink these days, but not for my personal home room, I do like the very pale pink ottoman though. I think the pink coat is a beautiful selection. Love the inspiration. I really love Raf Simmon’s designs.

  15. Wow those room translations are fabulous. I love the pink one!
