A New Address

For those who haven’t heard, I am moving to Chicago!

Before you freak out, yes, North On Harper is making the move as well.  (Insert sigh-of-relief here)

This is bittersweet, as I am ready for a new adventure, but I have really loved my years in Los Angeles.  But, Lukus has gotten a great job opportunity and we are excited for what lies ahead.  We’ll be making the move April 1st just in time for spring!

Timing is an amazing thing.  A week or so before I found out about the move, Ms. Bella aka The Citizen Rosebud invited me to write a guest post about place.  Little did either of us know how personal this post would become…

So please, stop by The Citizen Rosebud to check out my thoughts on place as it relates to my identity and my style.

Of course as I type this, my apartment is now filled to the brim with boxes!  Guess I get to focus my energies on creating a new place in just a few weeks!

  1. Wow! I love Chicago and bet you’ll love it too. Weren’t you born there? Good luck with the packing!

  2. wow!!! look at you all packed up and ready to go!!!

all i know is that regardless of how close or far you move, the effect is always profound and stronger than you expect it to be. i think that with every move, we grow as people. with every new place we get to know, we learn more about ourselves as well.

enjoy every aspect… even the parts that might bring anxiety! it’s going to be amazing. =)

  3. Congrats on the big move! So excited for you both :-)

You are so much more organized than Stephen and I were during our move this past weekend…

You have to check out my fav home store in Chi-Town : Jayson Home :-) I online shop all the time and have been dying to see it in person!

  4. How funny we are transitioning together- different places but same journey. Congrats on the move and good luck on the move as well! Thank you so much for taking the time to share your sense of place with me and my readers while you were packing up and ready to go! xo. Bella Q
