Tribal Style

I really wanted to open this post with a “thank you” to everyone for the positive feedback about my big news.  I’ve been super touched by the outpouring of support.

But as promised, I am not becoming a mommy blogger.  So this post comes armed with some fashion picks, specifically a look at one of my favorite things to help the chic transition from summer to fall.  I am talking about the versatility of tribal style.

So, why tribal style?  This is a print that works year round.  Tribal is fun enough for spring and summer, but dramatic enough for fall and winter.

To prove my point I have selected a few pieces to help you move into the next season:

Tribal Style Finds:
Collective Concepts “Tribal Traveler Blouse”
Cut 25 by Yigal Azrouel “Intarsia Knit Shorts”
Tibi “Jasmine Printed Shift Dress”
Helmut Lang “Green Cicada Printed Leggings”
Torn by Ronny Korbo “Sammy Tribal Knit Dress”

I love the ethnic feel of each of these pieces.  They are the sort of pieces that will garner all the right attention, because they are both interesting and unique.

But what do you think?  Do you love tribal style as much as I do?

  1. I have an awesome tribal sweater that is perfect for fall. It has 3/4 sleeves that are really big and the sweater itself is a little flowy. I wear it in the fall straight through to the winter and it is so warm and cozy while also looking really great.

  2. These are some great picks! I’m excited to start seeing some fall fashion.

  3. I do love tribal. Always have, always will and these are some fabulous picks you have. Those pants are incredible :) xoxo

  4. You just gave me some great ideas on how to transition some of my pieces into fall. I always enjoyed pairing my shorts with dark black opaque tights like the above picture. The tribal dress would be cute done the exact same way with a blazer and booties :)

  5. Yes! Absolutely! Love all these picks but I think the two dresses are my faves.

  6. I haven’t really been able to get into the tribal trend. In fact I’ve avoided it, but it’s starting to grow on me! Very nice picks.

  7. I accessorize with tribal more than anything. I have the cutest bag and bracelets that I got for a steal from a street vendor in Brooklyn. Great picks!

  8. I really need to become more of a fashionista. Prints have never looked too great on me though. I really like the second outfit!

  9. Love the tribal look, I’m a big print person and this great with coloured accessories

  10. I do love little bit of tribal style. Few pieces here & there. I do love your picks :)

  11. I do! I’m always down for ikat in any form and especially watercolor-y blues and blacks. All about those Helmut Lang leggings too–such a great little post!

  12. Those leggings are so crazy! I would totally wear them with an oversized, solid-color sweater in the winter!
