Fashion Week has moved on to Paris! This is the last of the major stops I will be covering, hopefully you have enjoyed the journey thus far. Already there have been some unexpected and visually stimulating shows and Paris promises even more eye candy. One statement show I am excited to share with you was the Cédric Charlier S/S 2013 Collection.
This show took me by a bit of surprise. Opening with stark white and black pieces, it initially seemed structure would be the central motif. However that quickly changed as Charlier introduced an abstract painterly pattern that added movement and an unexpected energy to the pieces. The final looks were in a florescent orange, which took the energy to an even higher level.
I really appreciated the journey Charlier took us on and am intrigued to see if the run of his collection has commercial appeal or if one of the three sections proves more popular than others.
Take a look for yourself:
So you be the judge. What section do you think will garner the most public praise and mass appeal from the Cédric Charlier S/S 2013 Collection?
