Azzaro S/S 2013 Collection

It’s October!  And we are continuing our Fashion Week(s) march for a few more days.  Who says September has all the fun?  Today I wanted something fun and festive.  And that’s exactly what I got in the Azzaro S/S 2013 Collection from designer Mathilde Castello Branco.

Branco, who previously worked at both Hermes and Lanvin, understands both the sophisticated French aesthetic and what it means to make clothing that uncomplicated.  There is a balance to this.  And it seems to be struck in the playful night-on-the-town collection.

I love that the garments in the Azzaro S/S 2013 Collection feel special, but unfettered.  Pieces that can be thrown on in time to make it out the door for a party- no extra work required.  The woman wearing these pieces is the one you hate, because she seems to have it all under control.

Beyond the ease, I would describe the looks as thoughtful and pretty.  There seems to be something in it for everyone (while still translating as a cohesive collection) suggesting that it is also on its way to commercial success.  What more could you ask for?

Do you have a favorite look from the Azzaro S/S 2013 Collection?

  1. Everything is so gorgeous. I wish I had thousands of dollars to spend on clothes. Stupid bills and life expenses ruin our fun.

  2. Every piece is not only chic but effortless. You can just throw on that white jumpsuit and put on a little bit of makeup and look perfect!

  3. Loving the white and yellow jumpsuit and the navy dress – timeless and stunning both!

  4. Love the beautiful simplicity of this line! Would wear it all!

  5. I want that metallic dress, absolutely WANt… that is gorgeous!

  6. That fourth outfit is TO DIE FOR, such a gorgeous dress! Love the simplicity of these looks, I totally agree!

  7. It really is a pretty collection. My favorite would be the 5th dress. It seems very young and carefree. =)

  8. They’re all beautiful. Numbers 4 & 5 look especially fun!

  9. Oh, Alexis…..what a gorgeous collection. I love every single piece which doesn’t happen often:)

  10. That metallic dress is to die for! Love, love, love it!!

  11. These are beautiful, but that yellow jumpsuit is really interesting and made me do a double-take. I love interesting pieces that make you need to look again and the marvel at everything going on and how it all ties together.

  12. I love, love, love the last one. It has a bit of a restro feel, I think, but totally modern, too. To color is perfect for my skin tone, but I worry I wouldn’t have the figure {height} for the rest. I like the clean faces and swept back hair, as well.
