It’s October! And we are continuing our Fashion Week(s) march for a few more days. Who says September has all the fun? Today I wanted something fun and festive. And that’s exactly what I got in the Azzaro S/S 2013 Collection from designer Mathilde Castello Branco.
Branco, who previously worked at both Hermes and Lanvin, understands both the sophisticated French aesthetic and what it means to make clothing that uncomplicated. There is a balance to this. And it seems to be struck in the playful night-on-the-town collection.
I love that the garments in the Azzaro S/S 2013 Collection feel special, but unfettered. Pieces that can be thrown on in time to make it out the door for a party- no extra work required. The woman wearing these pieces is the one you hate, because she seems to have it all under control.
Beyond the ease, I would describe the looks as thoughtful and pretty. There seems to be something in it for everyone (while still translating as a cohesive collection) suggesting that it is also on its way to commercial success. What more could you ask for?
Do you have a favorite look from the Azzaro S/S 2013 Collection?
