Proenza Schouler Fall 2013 Ad Campaign

Honestly, when the Fall 2013 Ad Campaigns first started to come in I wasn’t in the mood.  After all, tropical Singapore isn’t really conducive for jackets and boots (hmmm— what will I wear this fall?!).  But then I saw the Proenza Schouler Fall 2013 Ad Campaign.  And my eyes were opened and I fell in love.

Proenza Schouler Fall 2013 Ad Campaign 1

This campaign is soft, moody and just a little eerie (but in the way that draws you in).  Model Sasha Pivovarova seems almost to be an apparition in this mysterious setting.  Meanwhile, photographer David Sims strikes a beautiful balance between the artistry and showcasing the clothing.  It is a story that I like seeing from the duo Proenza Schouler and seems to speak directly to their brand.

  1. Very intriguing. Moody is a very good word to describe this campaign. Its beautiful and dramatic.

  2. Viewing autumn/winter campaigns doesn’t bother me much, since we are already talking about spring/summer14 for work, lol. I like Proenza Schouler and would not mind that coat in the first image set. :)

  3. It’s beautiful! I’ve already bought my first fall piece, so I guess my mind is going in that direction already :)

  4. I freaked out a bit when I saw that the fall campaigns are out. I didn’t even want to think about what autumn, not even fashion-related, but then my parents took me shopping for my birthday and I bought a trench coat (I have two more, but this one is the most classic one of them, and the trench is, after all, one of my favourite items in the women’s wardrobe), so I guess this is one tiny reason not to be too said about the approach of autumn. :) The campaign is beautiful!

  5. I still can’t think about fall clothing as I’m too into rompers and summer weather right now. But I do like to see PS ad campaigns.

  6. Beautiful! I love artsy ad campaigns.
Like you I am usually a bit sad when I see fall clothing. Last autumn here in Los Angeles was one of the hottest I remember, and I’ve been here a long time. Even my usual “fall colors in summer styles” fashion strategy didn’t really work. It was too hot even for burgundy nail polish. Good luck in Singapore!
Also, have you checked out 40 plus style? I know you’re no where near 40, but the author of the blog, Silvia, lives in Singapore too. She’s very friendly and nice. She’s also and expat, and she has a family.

  7. I need to start looking at the autumn winter trends as it’s starting to filter into the stores now. Even though it’s still roasting outside.

  8. I love the way these were shot! I’m so anxious for Fall to arrive! Bring on the scarves, blankets and special Starbucks drinks!

  9. I really like the eeriness of this ad campaign. That is a good question though what do you wear in fall in a tropical environment? I would miss wearing boots I think maybe you can wear them anyway :)

  10. I love these! Beautifully eerie. They look like paintings :)

  11. I saw the campaign a couple of days ago and think it’s really great! Love the model and photographer; they’re really nailing it so far.
