The New Blue: Navy Fall Fashion Finds

It’s true.  Fall is right around the corner.  And with that fall fashion—a season loved by the fashion set for the layers and options it offers.  Alas, fall temps don’t seem in my future here in Singapore, but that doesn’t mean I’ve given up on fall fashion all together!

One way I can still partake in the season’s trends is with color.  Color is also a great way to begin the seasonal transition in your own wardrobe.  Last fall the trend was a bright cobalt blue.  This fall’s runways also included blue, but a deeper, moodier navy that I love.  The color has a level of sophistication and an air of mystery that perfectly matches the upcoming season.

Take a look at some of the navy seen on the Fall 2013 runways:

  1. I’m ready for fall, and was just working on navy stories as well … it’s definitely been prevalant in the shows recently. I love everything in the second set. I suppose it’s time to bring out my old navy trousers once more. :-)

Yes, fall is around the corner…! I was wearing dark blue for a long time during my business life. I stopped wearing it, but your pictures inspired me of trying it again. Thanks Alexis, for your very good choice !

  3. Blue is my fave color so I love it on everything–dresses, shoes, bags, nails, etc. Those Chinese Laundry flats are divine. Must pick some up!

Hope you’re finding a good blog-life balance over there on the other side of the world.

  4. I LOVE navy blue and don’t take advantage of it enough. I am going to add this to my color wheel.

  5. Ooh snap, I’ve just written about indigo today too. Loving these looks, navy will always have a giant space in my heart!

  6. These rich shades of blue are beautiful for fall! I’m already wearing darker hues of blue, I love to use colour (as you said too) to ease into the fall. The Boutique by Jaeger dress is so chic!

  7. Great minds thing a like. I was totally thinking about blue for fall. I have been so much black and white, and all black i was thinking of what color could focus on for some of my clients. Love it! I got into the jogging pants last winter, I plan on working with them this fall as well. Chloe is so lady like. Love it.

  8. Am loving the dotty dress with the shoulders and those demi track pants just look so great too!

  9. Oops forgot to say one of your comments did not link to you….

  10. I am loving navy this season and am so bummed that our navy leather got held up in customs so isn’t here yet. Would like many many of the things your posted :) Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

  11. In the series of five, I really loved that second look ensemble.. beautiful… I’ve always been drawn to navy.

  12. I wish I could find a way to translate such fabulousness into 1st grader style. I’ve just found out (after purchasing a first-day-of-school dress) that Lil will be wearing uniforms this year. Navy, khaki, white and/or pale pink.

  13. I totally agree with you about navy. I used to find it too conservative, but now I love it. It’s softer than black and more flattering, but somehow just as wearable. I have already bought a few pieces in navy for fall and I’m looking forward to pairing them with black. I think it looks so chic!
