Chanel Spring 2014 Couture Collection

OB-chanel couture 2014 1One of the things I missed most during my blogging sabbatical was Chanel.  Specifically Chanel runway shows.  I am sure then, you can imagine how ecstatic I am to be sharing the Chanel Spring 2014 Couture Collection.  After all, I am quite devoted to the fashion house and utterly enjoy the antics of its head, Karl Lagerfeld.

OB-chanel couture 2014 2The Chanel Spring 2014 Couture Collection is definitely filled with Lagerfeld antics.  From couture sneakers to corsets, this was a collection that blended the unexpected in a way that felt decidedly playful and perfect for the coming spring.

OB-chanel couture 2014 3This collection has an unarguable sense of humor to it.  Crop tops paired with corset, gowns with sneakers, punk-rock hair with ethereal fabrics.  It doesn’t surprise me that the Chanel legions of fans seem to be growing beyond those simply in it for a tweed suit and a quilted handbag.  There is so much more attitude in being a Chanel woman.

OB-chanel couture 2014 4I love the energy of the Chanel Spring 2014 Couture Collection and if it reflects the mastermind behind it, then I think its safe to say Karl Lagerfeld is planning to continue surprising us for quite some time.

Alright, lets here it- what is your take on the Chanel Spring 2014 Couture Collection?

  1. I actually really dig this, especially the second dress in the last set. And I’m not sure if I’ve said this to you before, but kudos to you for actually getting back into blogging after a sabbatical. I fear that if I took extended blog leave that I would never come back, lol.

  2. I am loving this collection this year especially the dresses.. so much variety… =)

  3. It’s nice to come back to Chanel from an extended break. In the second set, I really would love to wear the first and third outfit. /Madison

  4. It does have a playfulness to it and whether someone likes it or not, I think everyone acknowledges Lagerfeld’s mastermind. The first dress in the top row is absolutely beautiful and I’m all for pairing a sleek dress with something more casual, like a pair of sports shoes.

  5. Hey! I love your new design it looks fantastic! I agree I love the Chanel collection. I read that there was a lot of ‘sports luxe’ in there this season which also mirrored what was on the RTW catwalk shows as a big trend. You can tell by all the glittery trainers that was one of the themes running through the show.

  6. I know this collection is so chic. I would die for that sequined track suit!!
