Functional Floral Fashion

I traumatized a lot of you yesterday.  And for that I apologize.  I went a little crazy with the floral.  What can I say??  I got swept away by my inspiration

And that’s okay, florals all over are not for everyone – myself included (I tend to agree with Mary Jo of Trust Your Style, who commented, “I would do the blazer because it’s sort of ironic, but florals are really hard to pull off without looking too junior-y, except for all the dark ones coming for fall*, which I’m looking forward to.”

With all that in mind, I thought I would look for some different floral options today.  More specifically floral options to accessories the look—not dominate it.

So, for those of you looking for a more subtle floral fashion option check out the below options:

More Floral Finds:
See by Chloe “Peony Tote”
BaubleBar “Soleil Fusion Cuff” (Need a BaubleBar invite?  Click HERE)
Keds® “Champion Calico Sneakers”
River Island “Erika Tropical Print Cut Out Platform Wedges”
Deepa Gurnani “Flower Crystal Hair Tie”

Tell me, are these florals more suited for you?  Or do you embrace the all-over prints of yesterday?

Mary Jo Matsumoto S/S 2012 Handbags

Please forgive me for taking yesterday off!  Moving has been much more involved than I even imagined.  That, coupled with goodbye gatherings, early birthday celebrations (my birthday is next week!) and work, has left little time for anything else.

BUT, I did make the time to check out my friend Mary Jo’s new handbag line!  Mary Jo Matsumoto is a fantastically talented designer and bloggerI showcased her beautiful polish not so long ago and she has also guest posted for me in the past (here & here).

Anyways, she just launched the line and every piece is perfect for spring/summer.  While I haven’t gotten my hands on my own bag (YET!), I did get to check out one of the early samples several weeks ago.  Let me just tell you: the leather is crazy soft and luxurious!

Anyways here are my favorites:

(I mean that bowler?!?!  INSANELY good!)

But there is plenty more to choose from!  Check out the details on the above beauties along with the rest of Mary Jo’s bags (and of course her fantastic nail polish!) HERE.

What do you think of these handbags?

Best of 2011: NYFW S/S 2012

I had the pleasure of attending S/S 2012 Fashion Week in New York during September.  It was my first New York Fashion Week and it was a whirlwind of activity.  I was lucky enough to see something like 20 shows and had absolutely amazing seats.  Getting to see not just the clothing (which you know I loved!), but also having the opportunity to experience the whole show was truly amazing.

While I shared several photos already (okay, tons), there are even more that now call my computer home.  Here are a few that you haven’t seen yet:
